Gerade eben kam die Nachricht, dass er gestorben ist. Seine Kompositionen hat jeder schon geh\u00f6rt bzw. gesehen. Der Soundtrack zu &#8220;Out of Africa&#8221; zum Beispiel klingt so bombastisch nach gro\u00dfer Leinwand, nach Abenteuer, Sehnsucht, Natur, nach Hass und Liebe &#8211; es ist einfach meisterhaft, was Musik ausdr\u00fccken kann, oder vielmehr: Wie John Barry es geschafft hat, mit seiner Musik die Handlungen auf der Leinwand zu untermauern. Dazu scheint auf jeden Fall ein gigantischer Bl\u00e4ser-Satz mit H\u00f6rnern, Posaunen und Tuben recht n\u00fctzlich zu sein, wenn man gleichzeitig auch noch eine Armee an Streichern im Filmorchester hat. An Auszeichnungen hat ihm das ja immerhin auch f\u00fcnf Oscars eingebracht.<\/p>\n<p>Neben den vielen James-Bond-Soundtracks (&#8220;From Russia with love&#8221;, &#8220;Diamonds are forever&#8221;, &#8220;Goldfinger&#8221;) beeindruckt mich vor allem seine Komposition &#8220;<a title=\"Informationen zum Album &quot;Moviola&quot; auf Soundtrack-express.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.soundtrack-express.com\/osts\/moviola.htm\">Moviola<\/a>&#8221; (zu finden als letzter Track auf <a title=\"Informationen zum Album &quot;Moviola&quot; auf Soundtrack-express.com\" href=\"http:\/\/www.soundtrack-express.com\/osts\/moviola.htm\">diesem Album<\/a>). Einfach nur sensationell.<\/p>\n<p>\u00dcbrigens, selbst wenn Sie noch nie im Kino waren, keine Filme sehen und \u00fcberhaupt optischen Vergn\u00fcgungen abgeneigt sind, unf\u00e4hig sind, Radios zu bedienen, sich aber immerhin dazu herabgelassen haben, als einzigen Tontr\u00e4ger eine Faith-no-More-Platte zu besitzen&#8230;. selbst dann haben Sie schon mal eine John-Barry-Komposition geh\u00f6rt.
