Foto: Quellenhinweis siehe unten.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Grund sind M\u00e4ngel beim Brandschutz &#8211; so hie\u00df es heute<a title=\"Beitrag auf rostock-heute.de\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rostock-heute.de\/volkstheater-rostock-brandschutz-schliessung-grosses-haus\/19447\"> auf einer Pressekonferenz der Stadt<\/a> mit Oberb\u00fcrgermeister Roland Methling und Bausenator Holger Matth\u00e4us. Ganz ehrlich: Verwundert kann dar\u00fcber eigentlich niemand sein. Das Innere des Hauses verstr\u00f6mt im Publikumsbereich den Charme einer br\u00f6selnden Ruine. Seit Jahren, ach, seit Jahrzehnten tr\u00e4umt die Hansestadt von einem Theater-Neubau &#8211; nur bezahlen k\u00f6nnte bzw. will das dringend notwendige Projekt nach jetzigem Stand niemand: Die Stadt nicht, das Land nicht, keiner. Trotzdem: bis 2018 will die Stadt ein neues Theater bauen. Tr\u00e4umen ist ja erlaubt.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Das jetzt gesperrte Gro\u00dfe Haus ist ein Provisorium, das seit 1942 genutzt wird. 1975 bis 1977 ist es saniert worden, aber seitdem wurde wohl nur das N\u00f6tigste getan. \u00dcberpr\u00fcfungen zur Brandsicherheit hat es schon \u00f6fter gegeben &#8211; aber erst jetzt fiel die endg\u00fcltige Entscheidung. Die Liste der Beanstandungen d\u00fcrfte ohnehin lang sein. Ich war schon mal hinter den Kulissen, als Fr\u00fchreporter beim Weihnachtsm\u00e4rchen. Es geht um ein Drama, dessen vorl\u00e4ufiges  Ende vorhersehbar war.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Verwinkelte G\u00e4nge und Treppenh\u00e4user &#8211; dazu Lampen, Lautsprecher, Fu\u00dfb\u00f6den, T\u00fcren, Putz, Mobiliar und Sanit\u00e4ranlagen, die allesamt ins Theatermuseum geh\u00f6ren, in die Abteilung &#8220;alt und nicht sch\u00f6n&#8221;. Besonders beeindruckt hat mich das Kulissenlager rechts neben der B\u00fchne &#8211; ein aus Ziegeln gemauerter riesiger Raum, an dessen W\u00e4nden noch Stuck-Verzierungen zu erkennen sind: Die Reste eines Ball-Saals, an dessen Stelle das Volkstheater vor fast 70 Jahren gesetzt wurde.<\/p>\n<p>Nun ist eine alte Einrichtung allein ja kein Grund, ein Theater schlie\u00dfen zu m\u00fcssen, aber all das summiert sich zu einem feuerschutz-technischen Desaster:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Zu den M\u00e4ngeln z\u00e4hlen zum Beispiel die derzeit nicht m\u00f6gliche Trennung  in Brandabschnitte und nicht ausreichend vorhandene getrennte Fluchtwege  sowie Rauchabzugs\u00f6ffnungen&#8230;.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&#8230; hei\u00dft es in der st\u00e4dtischen Mitteilung. Dass Feuerschutzt\u00fcren und dergleichen fehlen, d\u00fcrfte schon l\u00e4nger bekannt gewesen sein. Insofern fragt man sich unwillk\u00fcrlich, ob die Schlie\u00dfung des Gro\u00dfen Hauses nicht schon viel fr\u00fcher f\u00e4llig gewesen w\u00e4re. Bislang hatte es nur zahlreiche Auflagen f\u00fcr den Theaterbetrieb gegeben, zum Beispiel durften keine Pyrotechnik verwendet werden.<\/p>\n<p>Rostock steht nun ohne Spielst\u00e4tte f\u00fcrs Musiktheater da. Ein Bigband-Konzert wurde in den Saal 2 der Stadthalle verlegt, f\u00fcr andere Auff\u00fchrungen, zum Beispiel das Gastspiel der NDR-Info-Intensivstation gibt es nach dem Stand vom Dienstag Abend noch keine Alternativen.<\/p>\n<p>Auch f\u00fcr das br\u00f6ckelnde Gro\u00dfe Haus scheint es keine L\u00f6sung zu geben. Noch ist nicht mal klar, was es kosten w\u00fcrde, alle notwendigen Feuerschutzvorkehrungen einzubauen. Nach Informationen von NDR1 Radio MV w\u00fcrde allein das bis zu vier Millionen Euro kosten. Wie ein Neubau finanziert werden k\u00f6nnte, steht in den Sternen.
