Willkommen in der Welt des Osborning.<br \/>\nDes Was? Osborning oder der <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Osborne_effect\">Osborne-Effekt<\/a> ist der Sammelbegriff f\u00fcr \u00e4u\u00dferst folgenschwere Fehlentscheidungen beim Marketing. Die zweifelhafte Ehre als Namenspate f\u00fcr desastr\u00f6se Managementfehler kommt <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Adam_Osborne\">Adam Osborne<\/a> zu. Ihm wird nachgesagt, er habe das Osborning sozusagen erfunden &#8211; unfreiwillig nat\u00fcrlich. Dahinter verbirgt sich eine Legende aus grauer Computer-Vorzeit. Buchh\u00e4ndler Osborne war auch ins Computergesch\u00e4ft eingestiegen und dabei sogar erfolgreich. Sein &#8220;Osborne 1&#8221; (<a href=\"http:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bild:Osborne_Model_1.jpg\">Bild<\/a>)war der erste tragbare Computer. Das Modell fand trotz seiner \u00fcber 12 Kilo Gewicht viele K\u00e4ufer. Dann aber, so will <a href=\"http:\/\/www.geocities.com\/SiliconValley\/Lakes\/6757\/O1.HTML\">es<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.appelsiini.net\/keitai-l\/archives\/2001-11\/0289.html\">die<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.spiegel.de\/netzwelt\/tech\/0,1518,403558-2,00.html\">\u00dcberlieferung<\/a>, k\u00fcndigte Osborne das Nachfolgemodell an. Der &#8220;Vixen&#8221; sollte schneller, besser und genau so teuer werden.<br \/>\nDas fanden die Kunden gut &#8211; und warteten ab. Das war Pech f\u00fcr Osborne. Denn er hatte die neue Computer-Generation viel zu fr\u00fch angek\u00fcndigt und blieb auf seinem Modell Nummer 1 sitzen, das niemand mehr haben wollte. Osborne nahm nicht genug Geld f\u00fcr die Produktion des Nachfolgers ein und ging pleite.<br \/>\nMan kann das alles fast schon als urbane Legende bezeichnen. Ob sich das alles wirklich so zugetragen hat, zweifeln manche an.
