durch sich selbst und durch 1 teilen lassen- ohne Rest. Das ist bei 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13 und so weiter noch vergleichsweise einfach nachvollziehbar. Bei 8191 m\u00f6chte der durchschnittliche Anwender es dem Entdecker der Primzahl einfach gern glauben, dass man diese Zahl Prim nennen darf.<\/p>\n<p>Inzwischen gibt es eine Art weltweiten <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mersenne.org\/primes\/?press=M74207281\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wettbewerb unter Wissenschaftlern, wer die n\u00e4chste Primzahl entdeckt<\/a>. Daf\u00fcr muss man inzwischen echt lange rechnen, beziehungsweise rechnen lassen. Denn der neue Spitzenreiter in der Reihe der nur durch 1 und sich selbst ohne Rest teilbaren Zahlen hat genau 22.338.618 Stellen &#8211; man kann sie sich <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mersenne.org\/primes\/digits\/M74207281.zip\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">downloaden, die Zip-Datei mit allen Ziffern ist knapp elf Megabyte gro\u00df<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Curtis Cooper, dessen Nachname einen unwillk\u00fcrlich an The Big Bang Theory denken l\u00e4sst, hat sie gefunden. Und beinahe auch nicht. Aber immerhin stimmt die Richtung: Die Anzahl der verf\u00fcgbaren Primzahlen wird als unendlich angenommen.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Bei dieser jetzt bekannt gemachten Entdeckung handelt es sich auch noch um eine besondere Primzahl: Eine, die sich nach der Formel 2<sup>P<\/sup>-1 berechnen l\u00e4sst. Man ist da schon recht weit, h\u00fcstel. Im j\u00fcngsten Fall ist P gleich 74.207.281. Die neu entdeckte Primzahl berechnet sich also mit &#8220;Zwei hoch etwa 74 Millionen minus Eins&#8221;. Primzahlen, die auf Grundlage dieser Formel errechnet werden, hei\u00dfen Mersenne-Primzahlen. Heraus kommt in diesem Fall besagter\u00a0Zahlenwurm mit 22.338.618 Stellen &#8211; in ein frisches Office-Dokument eingef\u00fcgt und mit einer 12 Punkt gro\u00dfen Schrift wie der Times formatiert, belegt die Primzahl &#8230; <del>eine noch nicht feststehende Anzahl von Seiten (mein Computer ist noch besch\u00e4ftigt)<\/del> 9308 Seiten.<\/p>\n<p>Cooper hat schon mehrere, sagen wir mal: gro\u00dfe Primzahlen entdeckt. Jeder, der eine neue entdeckt, bekommt vom Gimps-Projekt, vom <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mersenne.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search<\/a>, eine Belohnung von 3000 Dollar, sofern die Zahl einer \u00dcberpr\u00fcfung standh\u00e4lt. Die Software f\u00fcr die Suche kann man sich herunterladen und Teil des weltweiten Rechnernetzes werden. Vielleicht hat man ja Gl\u00fcck, es ist so etwas wie Primzahlen-Lotto. Der Jackpot winkt \u00fcbrigens bei der ersten\u00a0Primzahl mit 100 Millionen Stellen oder mehr. Dann gibts 150.000 Dollar. Diese Summe ist zwar keine Primzahl, aber nach Abzug von Steuern kommt vielleicht eine raus&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Wohooo! Ne neue Primzahl! Jetzt gibt es eine neue, das hei\u00dft: Man hat eine neue gefunden.
