Auf dem Cover des legend\u00e4ren Abbey-Road-Albums, bei dem die vier Musiker \u00fcber einen Zebrastreifen laufen, steht im Hintergrund ein Mann am Stra\u00dfenrand und macht ein Allerweltsgesicht. Das ist Paul Cole. Er ist auf dem Foto zu sehen, weil er an jenem Tag keine Lust hatte, seine Frau ins Museum zu begleiten. Und w\u00e4rhend Cole mit einem Polizisten plauderte, dr\u00fcckte der Fotograf ein paar Meter weiter auf den Ausl\u00f6ser und machte das Bild f\u00fcrs sp\u00e4ter weltber\u00fchmte Plattencover.<\/p>\n<p>Cole hatte keine Ahnung, wer die Typen waren, die da teilweise barfu\u00df \u00fcber die Stra\u00dfe liefen. Man kann sich also seine \u00dcberraschung vorstellen, als er das Cover gut ein Jahr sp\u00e4ter n\u00e4her betrachtete &#8211; und man kann sich auch die Schwierigkeiten vorstellen, die er gehabt haben d\u00fcrfte, seine eigene Familie zu \u00fcberzeugen, dass er tats\u00e4chlich derjenige ist, der auf dem ber\u00fchmten Album zumindest im Hintergrund abgebildet ist.<\/p>\n<p>Paul Cole ist vor ein paar Tagen im Alter von 96 Jahren <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tcpalm.com\/news\/2008\/feb\/15\/30gtpaul-cole-man-on-beatles-abbey-road-cover\/\" title=\"Artikel und Abbey-Road-Cover\">gestorben<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Was jetzt gerade auf dem ber\u00fchmten Zebrastreifen los ist, kann man <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abbeyroad.com\/\" title=\"Abbey-Road-Webcam\">hier \u00fcbrigens nachvollziehen<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>via <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehrensenf.de\/shows\/ehrensenf\/schoen-durch-mp3-fuenfter-beatle-beatbox-hund\" title=\"Ehrensenf-Ausgabe vom 19.
